Clean up your inbox and reach inbox zero — in minutes, not hours

ClearInbox is the email cleaner that unsubscribes you from newsletters in bulk, deletes and archives old mail, and keeps your inbox organized automatically — for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud and any IMAP mailbox.

🔒 Private Mode✓ No message bodies stored✓ No analytics✓ No AI training

Everything you need to clean and organize your email

One dashboard for bulk cleanup, newsletter unsubscribing, spam screening and hands-off automation across all of your accounts.

Smart folders & AI cleaning suggestions

Your mail is automatically grouped into smart categories — newsletters, social, shopping, finance, travel, old and large mail — with one-click suggestions to archive or delete thousands of messages at once.

One-click & bulk unsubscribe

Detect every newsletter and mailing list in your inbox and unsubscribe from them individually or in bulk, using the RFC 8058 one-click standard. Keep, pause, or send subscriptions to Read Later instead.

Auto Clean rules that run unattended

Build rules on sender, domain, subject, age, size or labels — then let them move, archive, delete, star or mute mail automatically, on a schedule and on every newly synced message.

Screener for unknown senders

First-time senders are held in a screener until you approve or reject them, so strangers never reach your inbox. Block senders or entire domains with one click.

Privacy-first by design

Cleaning decisions use headers and metadata only — message bodies are never analyzed for advertising, and credentials are stored with AES-256-GCM encryption. A built-in breach monitor watches your address.

A full email client built in

Compose, reply, forward, search, label, star and pin — across every connected account in one unified, responsive web app. No switching tabs between providers.

How inbox cleanup works

  1. 1

    Connect your mailbox

Sign in with Google or Microsoft, or use an app password for Yahoo, iCloud, Fastmail and any IMAP provider. Multiple accounts are supported.

  2. 2

    Clean up in one sweep

Review smart folders and AI suggestions, bulk-unsubscribe from newsletters, and archive or delete old and oversized mail in a few clicks.

  3. 3

    Stay at inbox zero

Turn on Auto Clean rules and the sender screener so future mail is sorted, muted or blocked before it ever clutters your inbox.

🔒 Private Mode

Your email stays yours

Every mailbox connection is encrypted in transit, and credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Actions are fully logged so you can see exactly what happened, and a built-in breach monitor (powered by Have I Been Pwned) alerts you if your address appears in a data breach. We never sell your data.

  • No message bodies stored

Cleaning runs on headers and metadata — sender, subject, size, age and list headers. Full message bodies are never stored on our servers.

  • No analytics or trackers

The app ships with zero third-party analytics, ad pixels or tracking scripts. What you do in your inbox is nobody's business.

  • No AI training on your mail

Your email is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. Suggestions are computed for you, then forgotten.

  • No third-party processing

Your mail is never handed to outside data processors — and you can self-host with Docker so it never leaves your own server.

Frequently asked questions

How do I clean up my inbox quickly?

Connect a mailbox and ClearInbox groups your mail into smart folders (newsletters, social, promotions, old, large and more) with one-click cleaning suggestions, so you can archive or delete thousands of emails in minutes instead of triaging them one by one.

Which email providers does ClearInbox work with?

ClearInbox works with Gmail, Outlook and Microsoft 365 (via OAuth), plus Yahoo Mail, iCloud Mail, AOL, Fastmail, Exchange and any standard IMAP provider using an app password. You can connect multiple accounts and clean them from one dashboard.

How does bulk unsubscribe work?

ClearInbox detects mailing lists from List-Id and List-Unsubscribe headers and unsubscribes with the RFC 8058 one-click standard where supported. You can unsubscribe from many lists at once, and block senders that ignore unsubscribe requests.

Does ClearInbox read the content of my emails?

No. Classification and cleaning suggestions are based on headers and metadata only — sender, subject, size, age and list headers. Full message bodies are never stored, your mail is never used to train AI models, and the app contains no third-party analytics or trackers. Mailbox credentials are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and your data is never sold.

Can ClearInbox keep my inbox clean automatically?

Yes. Auto Clean rules run unattended on a schedule and on newly arriving mail — moving, archiving, deleting, muting or labeling messages by sender, domain, subject, age, size or list membership, so your inbox stays clean after the first big cleanup.

Is ClearInbox free to use?

You can create an account and connect a mailbox for free. Family-plan tiers are available for households that want to manage several members' accounts together.
